County Issues Restrictions on Open Fires Due to Drought Conditions
According to a news release from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health:
Due to drought conditions, the Department of Health, in consultation with the County Fire Department, has suspended issuing licenses to conduct open fires throughout the County.
All previously issued open burning licenses are suspended. This license suspension is in effect until further notice.
The Department of Health also recommends that County residents suspend open recreational burning until after a
significant rainfall. This include bonfires, campfires, outdoor fireplaces, and any other open recreational burning.
