South River High to Host Youth Football Camp July 9-13
If you’re looking for a way to keep the kids busy this summer then sign them up for the South River Youth Football Camp which runs July 9-13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at South River High School.
The camp is run by South River High School Football Head Coach Lance Clelland and staff along with varsity football student-athletes. According to Clelland, it’s the only full-day youth football camp offered in the county this year and is a fundraiser for the school’s football team.
Sign-up is open through this weekend with on-site registration available.
Throughout the week, coaches will cover offense and defense with the option for campers to play a variety of different positions. Speed and agility along with the importance of proper conditioning will also be taught.
The cost is $200 with a family discount of $20 for each sibling enrolled. There’s also a team discount of $20 for five or more from one team. Lunch is provided for $5 per day.
Campers should wear a t-shirt, shorts and cleats or proper athletic shoes, bring water, sunscreen and lunch (if not purchasing the camp lunch).
