Motorcyclist Killed Saturday Morning in Lothian Crash
Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Lt. John McAndrew said that Tyler Ralph Davis, 19, of Dunkirk, was killed after his 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle crashed around 7 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Route 4 and Lower Pindell Road. There were no other vehicles involved and no other injuries. Anne Arundel County Fire and Police were first on the scene.
In the media release, McAndrew said Davis was traveling southbound on Route 4 near the Lower Pindell Road intersection. Early investigations by police revealed that, for whatever reason, Davis’ bike left the roadway and slid into the grassy median where the bike fell on its side.
Next, the bike with driver traveled nearly 250 feet before coming to a final rest. Davis’ body was found near his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics.
Police said that operator error and possibly excessive speed may have contributed to the crash. McAndrew said that the investigation is ongoing.
From Tyler Davis’ public Facebook page, it appears the young man recently returned from vacation with his girlfriend and family.
South River Source sends condolences to the family and friends of this young man.

We saw the aftermath and I am devistated for your family. Life has it’s unexpected turns, I am stunned that this was one of them. I didn’t know you yet I grief your loss and for your family and friend’s pain. It will be hard to forget the sight of your accident and your young life lost. It may not be the time to say this but “time does heal most of the pain”. I know this from a loss I thought I could never recover from. My heart goes out to your loved ones. Fall apart when you need to, you will find strength when the time comes.
We are all praying for the family. Linda, Ralph, Trey and also Tyler’s mom Lisa, May God bless you and keep you in his arms. R.I.P. Tyler Ralph Davis.
Ralph and Linda. I was devastated to hear abt Tyler. As you know don, my husband, lost his son the same way, our hearts and prayers go out to you at this terrible time in your lives.
You will truly be missed Tyler! Yes, even your 2am phone calls! Words cannot express how much I will miss you, your smile & goofiness. I will also miss our talks & you trusting me that much to tell me everything & asking for advice on what you should do. One of the last conversations we had… you broke down & expressed to me how much you loved your Dad & how could you make him proud of you again. I hope you found time to do so, but like I said he loves you no matter what happens!
I love you my Tyler-Bo-Byler & you will always hold a special place in my heart, as you always have. You are now free, so live it up in heaven riding that motorcycle in the sky & making everyone laugh…as you always did!
I love you buddy & will miss you terribly! Watch over your brother & your parents. Until we meet again……..
Love & miss you angel …always & forever!!
