DAA Soccer Camp Starts Tonight at Davidsonville Ruritan

The Davidsonville Athletic Association(DAA) is hosting the South County Youth Soccer Camp. The training starts tonight at 5 p.m. There may still be slots available, depending on the age of the player. The camp runs from Aug. 6 to 10 at the Davidsonville Ruritan Center on Davidsonville Road.

Davidsonville Soccer Camp starts today

The camp is intended for all levels from beginners (completely new to soccer) to advanced (including travel and select players).

The camp is being directed by John Sis, who among other accolades is the coach of the South River High School Girls Varisty Soccer. Last year he coached that team to an 11-1-3 season. He also holds a number of diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) including: Advance National, High School, Youth National, State, Regional/Adv Regional and Goalkeeping I/II.

According to camp organizers, the camp will be fun. They will have drills that will include games and activities to build skill and teamwork. Players will be divided by age and skill level. They said that there will be a low ratio of player to instructor to ensure that every player gets individual attention.

To register, visit the Davidsonville Gators website; select ‘Registration & Payments’ from the left menu items, then follow the questions to the end.
