Developer to Hold Meeting on Waysons Corner Retail Center
The developers of four and a half acres of property in Waysons Corner are calling a meeting to discuss their plans to develop a retail center at the site. The Keith Corporationhas filed notification for a meeting to take place at 6 p.m. on Aug. 22.
The Keith Corporation has built dozens of retail centers in the mid-Atlantic and southern states. Their portfolio includes commercial properties like the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, NC. They operate about 50 shopping centers in Virginia, and in North and South Carolina. They also build and manage health care and industrial properties. The company is based in Charlotte, NC and has this for a motto:
“Our Mission is to glorify God and honor Him forever; to deliver the most consistent and highest level of quality, service, commitment, and excellence to our clients; and to grow profitably.”
The property, 1325 Mt. Zion Marlboro Road, sits at the intersection of MD-408 and Southern Maryland Boulevard in Lothian. The developers hope to build a 31,577 square foot shopping center.
It is unclear if the project would allow the Triangle Tobacco Warehouse to remain at the site intact.
The meeting will take place at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 122 Bayard Road in Lothian (6 p.m. Aug 22).
