Photo Contest Looks for Best of South County

The Southern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce would like to see your photos on the cover of their annual South County Business and Community Directory. To that end, they are offering a photo contest where the first place finisher will get five to seven of their photos on the cover. Second and third place finishers will get their photos displayed in black and white on the interior of the directory.

Submit you favorite photos of life in South County to the the Chamber Photo Contest.

The deadline for the contest is Aug. 31.

The directory will be published later this year and includes listings of businesses and communities in South County.

There are a few rules to the contest—like the photos should be taken in Southern Anne Arundel County, MD. Each photographer should send 20 shots relating to the following categories: spring, summer, fall, winter, the Chesapeake Bay, animals, boats, barns, farms, fishing and crabbing. Each entry should include the photographer’s name, address and phone number and a numbered index to identify the 20 photos, submitted on CD.

The winning photos will be selected by the South County community during an online campaign at www.southcounty.org and on Facebook and other online forums.
