An Edgewater man, Frank Patrick Digirolomo, was killed in an evening accident Wednesday on the Eastern Shore. His passenger, Debbie Jo Digirolomo, was sent to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with life-threatening injuries, according to a media release from Maryland State Police.
The accident happened just outside of Cambridge. Digirolomo was traveling eastbound on Route 50 on a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle. A 2009 Toyota Prius, driven by Hussein Khan of Potomac, was traveling westbound and attempted to make a left turn onto Linkwood Road. In negotiating the turn, he drove into the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision.
Digirolomo was driving the motorcyle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Debbie Jo Digirolomo was taken by Maryland State Police helicopter to the Shock Trauma Center. There is no update on her condition.
Police are continuing the investigation and ask that anyone with information contact Trooper Schultz or Trooper Gore of the Eastern Barrack, Maryland State Police, 410-819-4747.
The report does not indicate that Khan or his passengers—Rosario Khan, and two 14-year-olds—were injured or not.
