Police Promotion Ceremony at Southern District Brings South County a New Captain

The Anne Arundel County Police Department promoted six individuals on Thursday morning at a ceremony at the Southern District staation in Edgewater. The change brings Capt. Michelle Simpson to service as the head of Southern District.
Two former Southern District commanders, William Krampf and Pamela Davis, were also promoted. Krampf, now a Major will oversee the four police commands at Northern District, Southern District, Eastern District and Western District. Davis, now the highest ranking female in the history of the force, was named Deputy Chief. The changes were announced on Wednesday by Anne Arundel County Chief of Police Larry Tolliver.
