Want to See the Presidential Candidates? Better Head to Virginia

Mitt Romney

Chances that the Presidential candidates (or their surrogates) will be speaking in Maryland in 2012 are pretty slim because Maryland is a “blue” state.

To see them, you’ll have to go to the next closest swing state (Virginia or Pennsylvania). On Thursday, there are two opportunities: Mitt Romney in Fairfax and Michelle Obama in Richmond. On Friday, Paul Ryan will be in Virginia for two rallies.

Thursday (Sept. 13)

11:30 a.m. Mitt Romney
Hosting rally at Van Dyck Park
3720 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, Va. (1.5 hours from Edgewater)

2 p.m. Michelle Obama

3:15 p.m. Paul Ryan

In the latter part of September, schedules for both campaigns will be light as they begin to prepare for the televised debates, taking place on Oct. 3 (Obama vs. Romney) and Oct. 11 (Biden vs. Ryan).
