Police Say Shady Side Man Pinned Between Two Vehicles During Domestic
Attempted second degree murder and first degree assault charges are pending against a Shady Side woman after she pinned her husband in between two cars, Anne Arundel County Police said in a media release on Thursday.
In the release, spokesman Justin Mulcahy said that the 61-year-old male victim was transported to Prince George’s County Shock Trauma Center for treatment of his injuries.
The report said that at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police and fire were called to the 1200 block of Hawthorne Street in Shady Side for a report of an assault.
When they got there, they found a man in the driveway of his residence suffering from serious injuries to his lower body after being pinned between two automobiles. Police said that they learned that the victim and his 39-year-old estranged wife, Patina Morehead, who lives in the same neighborhood on Filbert Street, had been involved in a verbal argument. At some point, the argument escalated and that was when Morehead entered her 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck and drove toward the victim, pinning him between her truck and a parked car.
Morehead was arrested at the scene. Police did not comment on the condition of the victim.
