School System Looks for Parent Input on Calendar

From the Anne Arundel County Public School‘s Public Information Officer Bob Mosier:

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is currently accepting public input on the calendars for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. AACPS’ Calendar Committee, made up of school system personnel as well as parents and representatives of employee bargaining units, will submit recommendations on the calendars to Superintendent Kevin Maxwell later this month. Dr. Maxwell will then forward his recommendations to the Board for action.

In an effort to allow parents to plan ahead for out-of-town trips, etc., the Board will once again entertain a two-year calendar this year. The 2013-2014 calendar, tentatively approved last year, will be formalized and a 2014-2015 calendar will receive tentative approval.

A link to provide input on the calendar can be found in the For Your Information box on the front of AACPS’ main website. Input will be accepted through October 19, 2012.
