Oct. 5-6 Yard Sales in Edgewater, Galesville and Mayo
Are you a yard sale junkie like me? If so, there are several scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6 in Edgewater, Galesville and Mayo that you don’t want to miss.
Some of this weekend’s yard sales benefit local organizations including The Summit School and the Carrie Weedon Science Center.
We have listed the events alphabetically below. Make sure to set the alarm early on Friday and Saturday, grab a cup of coffee and get going. You never know what treasures await.

Galesville Yard Sale/Fundraiser
Date: Saturday, Oct. 6 rain or shine
Time: 8 a.m. to noon
Location: Carrie Weedon Science Center; 911 Galesville Road, Galesville
Proceeds benefit the Carrie Weedon Science Center. Refreshments will be sold and there will be a 50/50 raffle. Donations are needed. Contact carrieweedon@gmail.com or 410-222-1625 for additional information.
Mayo Civic Association Fall Garage Sale and Flea Market
Date: Friday, Oct 5 and Saturday, Oct. 6
Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: MCA Community Hall, 1175 Central Ave., East
The Mayo Civic Association is hosting its annual fall garage sale. Homemade baked items will be for sale. For additional information or to reserve a table call 410-798-0937.
South River Colony Estates East Multi-Family Yard Sale
Date: Saturday, Oct. 6
Time: 8 to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Colony Crossing and Appaloosa Drives, South River Colony East
Furniture, antiques, household goods, tools, yard equipment, etc. from multiple households.
Summit School Yard Sale, Bake Sale and Carwash
Date: Saturday, Oct. 6
Time: 9 a.m. to noon
Location: The Summit School; 664 East Central Ave., Edgewater
Bargains include office and school furniture, household items and much more. Donations are welcome and proceeds benefit The Summit School and Student Government Association.
The Pointe Townhouses’ Community Yard Sale
Date: Saturday, Oct. 6, rain or shine
Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Rt. 214 and Mayo (across from South River High School)
Items include dining set, desk, televisions, electronics, book shelves, patio furniture, depression glass, brass bed, patio furniture, bunk beds, toys, Wedgewood, armoir, changing table, rugs, clothes for all changing table, books, place mats, baskets, china, glassware, frames, tools, spinning wheel, golf clubs, wall décor, kitchen items, holiday items and much more. Everything must go.
