Donate Food, Buy Some Jewelry and Help Save a Life

To shine the light on End Hunger Month in Calvert County and National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Dickinson Jewelers is donating a dollar to the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care at Calvert Memorial Hospital for every pound of food collected in Dickinson’s Dunkirk and Prince Frederick stores throughout the month of October.

According to owner Claude Dickinson, “the month of October embodies two very important causes. We always try to find different ways to reach out to the community we live and work in and I think the food drive and donation to the center is something we can all be proud to be a part of.”
All food donations will go to End Hunger in Calvert County. This is the second partnership between the jewelry store and the organization.  The first food drive brought in more than 1,600 pounds of food.

In addition to the dollar per pound donation to the Center for Breast Care, the jewelry store will sell ceramic pink ribbon rings for a special price of $25 of which $10 of each purchase will benefit the Center as well.

The Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care  is the first of its kind in Southern Maryland, providing women with access to an experienced team of breast health experts and the most sophisticated technology available today.

Dickinson Jewelers is located in Prince Frederick Market Place at 916 Costley Way and in Dunkirk in the Dunkirk Market Place at 10286 Southern Maryland Boulevard.  Store hours at both locations are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
