Body Found in a Car Parked at Davidsonville Country Store

By Mitchelle Stephenson

Anne Arundel County Police have confirmed that a body was discovered on Saturday morning in a car that was parked at the Davidsonville Country Store at the intersection of Central Avenue and Davidsonville Road. Authorities are notifying the next of kin and have not released the name or identity of the deceased. Police media spokesman Lt. Glenn Shanahan said that there was no additional information available.

The mobile crime lab was parked in front of the Davidsonville Country Store Saturday morning.

The body was found and reported to police mid-morning on Saturday. But life carried on in a busy fashion next door at the Fall Festival at Davidsonville’s Homestead Gardens.

The body was found inside a car, a black 2-door sedan with out-of-state tags. It was parked under the shade of the tree at the far end of the Country Store’s parking lot.

Traffic flowed through town as police investigated the circumstances of a body found in a car.

Residents in Davidsonville were shocked to see five marked police cars, one detective car and the mobile crime lab at the scene and suspected that a crime may have been committed.

Shanahan said that police did not suspect foul play associated with the death.

The body was removed from the scene around noon.

If and when police release further information, we will keep you up-to-date.

The death did not cause any traffic tie-ups or delays through Davidsonville’s main intersection on Saturday. There was really nothing to see, so “rubbernecking” was kept to a minimum.
