The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has closed the U.S. Federal government offices in the Washington Metro area for Monday, Oct. 29.
As of Sunday evening, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority has closed Metrorail, MetroAccess and Metrobus transit service until further notice.
State of Maryland has closed all state office and facilities as of 6 a.m. Monday. Liberal Leave is in effect. Emergency essential personnel should report as scheduled. Early voting has been cancelled on Monday.
In Anne Arundel County, all Anne Arundel County Government offices are closed. Anne Arundel County Schools are closed. Monday trash collection is canceled.
A pet-friendly shelter is available at Annapolis High School, starting Sunday afternoon. Transportation is available. If you need help getting there, call 410-222-0600.
The U.S. Postal Service is monitoring the storm to determine if postal deliveries will be interrupted.
According to Maryland State Police, the Maryland Emergency Management Agency website, will offer statewide emergency information. The 511md.org website will offer statewide traffic and road conditions, including the location of roads that may be closed due to flooding. Visit Roads.Maryland.gov for live traffic cameras. Please do not call Maryland State Police barracks to check on road conditions. Calls to police or 911 during the storm should be for emergency use only.
