BLOG: Gator Girls U9 Soccer Team Ends Season Undefeated

By Dave Ballard

This was a terrific season for our team, DAA U9 Girls Soccer. The Gators went undefeated, 8-0-2.

While there were many close games, the girls were able to overcome in-game deficits, short-handed squads and injuries.  A key point was a win against the tough SRYA Seahawks’ U9 Girls Soccer team for whom the Gators were tied with in points for most of the season.

With this being the first year of soccer for many of the girls on the team, we really didn’t know what to expect; but what a  great year it turned out to be. This group of girls is special; they are strong, confident and talented.  They were a joy to coach.

All year these girls played with big hearts, were committed to practicing, took instruction, and simply got better each week.  We really can’t stress how hard they worked. They earned this undefeated season.
