CHRISTMAS TREES: Info on Cut Your Own, Tree Lots, Prices, Hours and More
There were a few trees tied to car tops last weekend, but this weekend, Christmas Tree shopping ought to be big.
We set out to give you a comprehensive listing of Christmas Tree lots and Christmas Tree farms in South County. The table of the information we gathered is below. Cut-Your-Own farms are listed first, then the tree lots.
Where we could, we include prices, sizes and tree types. We will continue to fill in the information as it comes through to us. Help us out if you see something missing.
If you have a favorite lot that we’ve missed, please email the information to Mitchelle@SouthRiverSource.com.
One of the places, Nicholson Nursery in Tracys Landing, offers a live Christmas Tree in a bag or bucket that can be used as an indoor tree during the holidays, and then planted in the ground after Christmas—talk about a great conservation measure.
Most of the cut-your-owns help with the cutting: you can bring your own saw, use their hand-saw, or they’ll use a chainsaw to cut the tree down. Nearly all lots and cut-your-own offer car tie-down.
Happy tree shopping and Merry Christmas!

We cut our tree down at Friendship farm last weekend for the 8th year in a row. It is a great, family-owned and run farm. Cute Christmas shop with good prices. The kids love the scavenger hunt and writing a letter to Santa to leave in the mailbox.
