Stop Smoking! West River Clinic Partners with County Health to Help Kick the Habit
According to a media release from the Anne Arundel County Department of Health and Community Partners:
2013 is the year to quit smoking. The Learn To Live program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, in partnership with community medical providers, is providing free quit-smoking classes to help adults who live, work and attend school in the County kick the habit.
Local health care providers will offer free quit-smoking classes that include counseling and may include nicotine replacement therapy. Pre-registration is required. The following local health care providers will offer quit smoking classes:
- Owensville Primary Care, 134 Owensville Road, West River. Classes to begin in January and March. Call 410-867-4700.
- Anne Arundel Medical Center, Health Sciences Institute, 2000 Medical Parkway, Annapolis. Classes to begin in January, April, June and August. Call 443-481-4000 or 1-800-MD-NURSE or visit www.aamcevents.com.
- Baltimore Washington Medical Center, 301 Hospital Drive, Tate Cancer Center, Glen Burnie. Classes to begin in January, March and May. Call 410-787-4367 or visit mybwmc.org.
