On New Years Eve, Police Arrest Edgewater Man for Commercial Robberies
Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said that police arrested two men in connection with two robberies on Dec. 29 and Dec. 31 in Annapolis. The men are Neil Fletcher, 46, of Edgewater and David Sade, 47 of Annapolis.
On New Years Eve, at 2:36 p.m., police from the Southern District were called to a commercial robbery complaint at Alexander’s Spa, in the 2300 block of Forest Drive in Annapolis. Police were on their way there when the dispatcher told officers that the owner of Alexander’s Spa was following the suspect, who had entered the business, demanded money and fled the scene in a Ford Explorer. The employees at the spa had complied with the request and turned over an undisclosed sum of money.
Police converged on the Explorer in the parking lot of the Annapolis Harbour Center on Solomons Island Road in Annapolis.
Two men in the vehicle were taken into custody without incident and charged with the Alexander’s Spa robbery. It was later discovered that the Fletcher matched the description of the man who had robbed the Riva Road Dunkin’ Donuts on Saturday afternoon.
Police said that the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending in the Dunkin’ Donuts case. No booking photos were released to the media.
