Nominate an Individual or Business That Has Made a Difference in the Community

Following is a press release from the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County:

The Volunteer Center For Anne Arundel County is now accepting nominations for its Eighth Annual Mentoring Awards. Categories include:

• School-Based Mentoring Program
• Community-Based Mentoring Program
• Business-Based Mentoring Program
• Faith-Based Mentoring Program
• AVID Volunteer of the Year
• Mentor of the Year
• Peer (Youth) Mentor of the Year
• Lifetime Mentor Award
• Community Hopeologist of the Year

Submit one or more nominations by close of business on February 25 to the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County. Nomination forms may be downloaded at www.volunteerannearundel.org/specialevents and mailed to the Volunteer Center at 2666 Riva Road, Ste 130, Annapolis, MD 21401.

The Awards Celebration will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, March 14 at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center, 273 Hilltop Lane, Annapolis. While the event is free, donations are gratefully accepted. Reservations are required.
