River Gallery in Galesville Opens Show ‘Let Me Call You Sweet Art’
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the River Gallery is hosting a new love-themed show that will run from Feb. 1 through Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, 2013.
The River Gallery is celebrating their 25th anniversary in historic Galesville in 2013. To honor the occasion, the art gallery will hold an open house on the second Friday of each month from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The first show of the season, “Let Me Call You Sweet Art” opened on Feb. 1, and the reception for the show will take place on the second Friday—February 8—at the store on Main Street in Galesville.
Since the gallery’s founding by co-owners Laura Dixon, Roxanne Weidele and Elsie Whitman, the River Gallery has celebrated local artists and fine artwork including original paintings, photography, one-of-a-kind pottery, jewelry, turned wood, stained glass and other fine crafts.
Work of the three owners will be represented in the “Sweet Art” show, along with work from Frances Borchardt, Donna Rhody, Wayne Beall, Edie Pyle Hopkins, Chris Senesi and Ginny Kuhn.
The gallery is located at 1000 Main Street in Galesville. Telephone: 410-867-0954.
