HOT SHOTS: Tracey’s Elementry Students Dance the Night Away
Hundreds of parents and students rocked out this past Friday night (Feb. 15) at Tracey’s Elementary‘s Family Fun Dance Night. Sponsored by the Parent Teacher Organization (PTA), this annual event features a DJ, face painting, lego station, crafts, free food, silent auction and a guest appearance from the school’s mascot “Tracey’s Tiger”.
With the music blaring, the students showed off their best hip hop dance moves, enjoyed pizza and ice cream, spray painted their hair bright pink and donned fake mustaches and painted-on tattoos.
We caught up with the crowd at Tracey’s and captured a few of these “Hot Shots” in action.
- Tracey’s Tiger was a hit, dancing with the students and parents.
- Sisters Emmie and Delaney Lanham enjoyed the free Maggie Moos ice cream.
- Howie Eanes got into the spirit of the night by painting red dots on his face.
- Friends Nolan Brennan and Sam Ondrusek opted against the face painting.
- Students dressed up for the occasion by coloring their hair pink and painting tattoos on their faces.
- The lego station was very popular with both the parents and students.
- Emma Shove and her friends danced all night long, stopping only for some ice cream and pizza.
- Harper Reese spray painted her hair pink to match her shirt.
- The students showed off their dance moves to friends and family.
- Tracey’s mascot got into the action, leading the students in a line dance.
- Danielle Moran, Jennifer Weaver, Addie Conte and Giulia Larsen helped organize the Family Fun Dance Night at Tracey’s Elementary.
