Animal Control Adoption Fees Waived by Anonymous Donor Through Saturday
Last November, we shot a video at Animal Control in Millersville of homeless cats and dogs waiting to be picked up by their owners or adopted out to new families. At that time, an anonymous donor had stepped forward to pick up the tab for any pets adopted during that week. And all of the animals available found homes.
Well, an anonymous donor has again stepped forward to cover the pet adoption fees for anyone who wants to take home a pet to add to their family. The free adoption event runs from Tuesday (March 12) to Saturday (March 16).
They’re calling it a little good luck before St. Patrick’s Day. All standard adoption fees will be paid for by the benefactor. Adopters will need to go through a screening process to make sure that the animal is going to a good home. If you plan to adopt a pet, bring a collar and leash for a dog or a cat carrier for a feline adoption.
The goal of the donor and the shelter to increase awareness about the thousands of adoptable animals who need homes in Anne Arundel County.
Help these animals find their “pot of gold at the end of the rainbow” just in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
