Woman in Critical Condition After Teen Party in Riva

Anne Arundel County Police said that a 19-year-old woman is in critical condition at Shock Trauma after she allegedly went down a flight of steps at a teen drinking party in Riva.

According to police spokesman Justin Mulcahy, police were called to Anne Arundel Medical Center around 1 a.m. on Thursday (July 11) for a report of an injured woman. At the hospital, police learned that the woman had been brought to the hospital by friends after a party in the 400 block of Granville Road in Riva. This is in the Riva Farms community.

Police learned that the victim had been drinking. Officers subsequently went to the house where the party had taken place. There, they found other teens under the influence. Police took information from remaining party-goers and secured the residence, Mulcahy said. Evidence was taken from the scene.

The young woman remains in critical condition at Baltimore’s Shock Trauma Center. The cause of her injuries remains under ongoing investigation, Mulcahy said.
