The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. when Pfisterer and her passenger, Justin Aaron Lee, 27, of Crofton were westbound on Davidsonville Road in a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier when Pfisterer lost control of the vehicle. The car spun, hit the curb on the north side of the road, then crashed into a tree. Pfisterer and Lee were both ejected from the vehicle, the police report said.

Emergency workers arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section to take over the investigation, due to the severity of the injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that excessive speed, alcohol and a lack of seat belts are all possible factors in the crash, Mulcahy said.

Lee was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in stable condition.

Traffic Safety Section is continuing the investigation.

Pfisterer is a graduate of Arundel High School. According to her public Facebook profile, she may also be a student or recent graduate of Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland.
