VIDEO: Help Families in Poverty While Also Helping a Girl Scout Get Her Gold Award
Siena Manoogian is a South River High School senior and a Girl Scout in Troop 2422. She is working on her Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. She needed to create a project that was would help her community and be sustainable. She settled on helping the Baby Pantry at the Anne Arundel County Food Bank. The Baby Pantry helps to provide all manner of things to families with infants: diapers, layettes, lotion, soap, wipes, bottles, pacifiers, bibs, blankets and more. Siena hopes to collect 30 such items.
To help support her effort, she created this video, which will help to raise awareness and hopefully lead people to contribute to the campaign. It’s well researched and well done, including original music.
If you can help, donate to Anne Arundel Food Link.
