South River Source Launches Gardening Advice Column Featuring Local Expert Sandy Greenstreet

South River Source is excited to announce the launch of its monthly gardening advice column featuring Sandy Greenstreet of Greenstreet Gardens.

A veteran gardener, Sandy is the mother of Ray Greenstreet, owner of Lothian-based Greenstreet Gardens. Sandy began  her gardening “career” at an early age when her grandmother taught her how to sow seeds and harvest the bounty. Over the years, she has imparted her wisdom and knowledge to family and friends. Today, she continues to offer tips for successful gardening  through a series of published articles.

South River Source’s gardening column will feature a question and answer format.  Beginner and advanced gardeners may  submit questions covering topics including:

  • Vegetable gardening
  • Trees and shrubs
  • Flower gardens
  • Lawn maintenance
  • Inside and outdoor flower containers and hanging baskets
  • Seasonal planting and more

Sandy’s first column will run on Friday, November 1. Email your questions to by Monday, October 28 for inclusion in the story.
