Starting Friday, Permits Office on Reduced Hours Due to Renovations
I hope they got a permit for that.
Starting on Friday, Nov. 8 and going through Tuesday, Nov. 12, the Anne Arundel County Department of Inspections and Permits application center will have reduced office hours due to renovations to the Permit Application Center. The office is located at 2664 Riva Road in the Heritage Office Complex.
On Friday, the Permit Application Office will close at 2 p.m. It will reopen at noon on Tuesday. The office is closed on Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the office will resume normal business hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A spokeswoman said that the Department regrets any inconvenience the reduction in office hours causes. The renovations are being completed in an effort to improve the flow and timeliness of processing permit applications and better serve the public.
At a meeting with the South County Chamber of Commerce in September, County Executive Laura Neuman said it was one of her priorities to smooth the process for permitting and make it easier for residents and businesses to do business with the county government.
