See Over 140 Hand Crafted Quilts on Display at Holiday Quilt Show in Lothian
Bellwether Dry Goods will host their annual Open House & Quilt Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 6 through 8 at 137 Bayard Road in Lothian. Admission is free. Over 140 one-of-a-kind hand quilted quilts on display and for sale. In addition, a private collection of antique quilts will be offered for sale.
For over 32 years, Bellwether Dry Goods has been creating original quilts for customers worldwide. Their quilts have been featured in The Washington Post, Traditional Home, Washingtonian Magazine, Baltimore Sun, Baltimore Magazine, Maryland Life Magazine, Quilters Newsletter, Popular Patchwork, Sew News, Fabric Trends, Log Homes Illustrated, Washington Woman and Quilt Magazine.
Owners Georgina and Richard Fries employ over 100 Amish and Mennonite ladies to hand quilt their work. Georgina says “we’re the dinosaurs of the industry. Traditional quilt making is dying art. Our guests will experience the beauty of their work at our Open House.”
