Results U Temporarily Moves to South River Colony Main Street Ahead of Bigger Changes

On Dec. 21, Edgewater-based Results U will temporarily move its training facility to a new location on Main Street at the Villages of South River Colony. The move is the result of several changes in the works for Results U and its affiliate health club South River Fitness over the next few months.

The temporary space for Results U, previously occupied by ‘Repeats’ consignment store, is next to Honey Hive cafe. It is currently being renovated. Owner Pat Mularkey said the temporary training facility will include a turf field, speed and training room, recovery bar and changing rooms and showers.

“This is a temporary solution,” said Pat. “We hope to operate out of the location on Main Street for three to four months until the new facility is completed.”

Pat noted that in addition to moving the training facility, he will transition South River Fitness back to Results U’s current space in the South River Colony Shopping Center in January 2014. The 10,000 square foot space will feature a traditional gym setting with cardio equipment resistance machines, free weights, yoga and pilates.

“We will offer both the traditional gym experience for clients wanting to work out on their own at South River Fitness and group training at Results U,” said Pat. “We are excited about the end Result and look forward to offering the best training and work out experience in the area.”

Results U is temporarily moving its training facility to Main Street at the Villages of South River Colony. The space is currently being renovated to include a turf field and speed and training rooms.

As previously reported by the South River Source, Results U was started last year by Pat and Lori Mullarkey, owners of the South River Fitness. Their vision was to create a state-of-the-art training facility for both adults and youth by incorporating training methodology from the Parisi Speed School—of which they are an affiliate.

At the same time, the Mullarkeys kept South River Fitness as a traditional health club for members wanting to work out on their own. The health club was moved just a few doors down from Results U in the South River Colony Shopping Center.

Over the past few years, Pat said he has seen his training business quadruple and recognized the need for additional space. He is currently in the process of negotiating a deal to purchase a building in Edgewater where he will permanently relocate his training business.

The South River Source will disclose the details of the new space once Mularkey has solidified the transaction.
