Fight at the Annapolis Mall Ends with Three in Custody

A New Year’s Eve fight at the Annapolis Mall ended with three men in custody, according to Anne Arundel County Police Department spokesman Lt. T. J. Smith. The incident happened just before 6 p.m. when police responded to the mall for a fight in progress. When officers got there, they learned that a group of young men had been involved in a fight with two mall security officers. The mall security had asked the men to leave the mall because they were being disorderly.

During the fight with the mall security staff, one of the suspects showed a knife. A mall officer was able to disarm the suspect without injury, police said.
