Dogwood Acres to Hold Pet First Aid Training and Certification Classes on April 5

Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat will host two Pet First Aid Training and Certification Classes on Saturday April 5th from 8 to 11 a.m. and  12 to 3 p.m.

The classes will be conducted by Rescue One Training for Life, a leading safety training and product solutions organization. The three hour course is designed to instruct students in the necessary steps to save a pet’s life during an emergency or to minimize a pet’s trauma after an injury. During the class you will learn:

  • Techniques for CPR;
  • Rescue breathing;
  • Choking relief;
  • Bandaging and proper restraint for dogs and cats; and
  • Common illnesses and other problems a pet may experience

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion valid for two years.
