The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning in effect until 10:30 p.m. for an area that includes Anne Arundel and Howard counties. 300px-US-NationalWeatherService-Logo.svg_

According to an NWS report, the Patapsco River continued to rise between Woodstock and Elkridge. At this time flooding is limited to a small area near Elkridge and nearby small tributaries. The stream is expected to crest later this evening.

A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported. Stream rises will be slow, however, those in waterfront areas should take precautions. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising. To report flooding, have the nearest law enforcement agency relay your report to the National Weather Service Forecast office.
