Chesapeake Youth Orchestra Coming to South County on April 26

Young musicians from the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) will be performing at Southern High School on April 26 in conjunction with the South County Concert Association. The cost of the concert is included in the subscription package for the South County Concert series. PAS_4407-2

The symphony, senior flute ensemble and jazz ensemble will each perform music from a standard repertoire.

The CYSO provides young musicians from Annapolis, Washington and Baltimore with comprehensive musical and orchestral training for elementary through college-age students. The rehearse weekly and get coaching, workshop and competition experience.

Thousands of students have participated in the CYSO programs, with alumni going on to have successful careers as musicians.

Southern High School is located at 4400 Solomons Island Road in Harwood. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. on April 26. Tickets are $20 for general admission. Children and grandchildren will be admitted free.
