Davidsonville’s “Sweet” Strawberry Festival Set for Saturday May 24. Crafters Needed.
The Davidsonville United Methodist Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, May 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The church is currently looking for crafters to exhibit at the fair. It’s $15 for a spot. To reserve space contact the church office at 410-798-5511 or send an email to DUMCOffice@dumc.net.
The Strawberry Festival is always a sweet event featuring everything strawberry including delicious homemade pies, shortcakes, smoothies and cheesecakes.
Once again this year, the Hopkins family, who own the U-Pick Farm off Mt. Airy Road in Davidsonville, will donate the sweet, juicy berries.
The festival is filled with fun for the whole family. Enjoy music by the Davidsonville United Methodist Church Praise Band and the Chesapeake Pickers. For the kids, there will be a moon bounce and games.
The “Tongues of Fire” BBQ Ministry team will sell their delicious pulled pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken and pit-cooked chicken. Sandwiches and platters will be available along with fresh lemonade and sweet and unsweetened tea.
Hot dogs, hamburgers and sodas will also be available for sale by the United Methodist Men.
Proceeds from the Strawberry Festival benefit the Youth Group ministries, including the Youth Group summer service project in North Carolina.
The Davidsonville United Methodist Church is located at 819 West Central Avenue. For additional information visit www.dumc.net.
