BIZ NOTES: Joy Kids Learning Mayo Celebrates Grand Opening on Tuesday

Joy Kids Learning Center (JKLC) is pleased to celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 8, at 9 a.m. and an open house from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Their new location is at 1133 Carrs Wharf Road in Edgewater. Southern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce officials are scheduled to attend.

The Joy Kids Learning Center (JKLC) purchased Kids Farm – Mayo, Inc., on May 2, 2014 and has made changes to the center, which operates on the campus of Kiwanis Club of Mayo. The Center will serve children from 30 months to 5 years old. The hours will be from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Learning Center will offer an educational program that utilizes developmentally appropriate practices that enhance the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child. Joy Kids Learning Center will utilize The InvestiGator Club curriculum, which “challenges young children to use their senses, to ask questions, and to find answers in an interactive, language-rich environment.”

Joy Kids Learning Center believes in the full development of children, which includes their spirituality; therefore, daily activities will be supplemented with Christian themes.
