During the overnight hours of June 30 through July 2, 2014 the Lothian and Dunkirk Communities of Southern Anne Arundel County experienced a rash of thefts from vehicles.
All the victims reported that they left their vehicles unlocked during the overnight hours and when they returned to their cars the next morning they realized that personal items were missing.
Stolen items included loose change, cash, purses, credit cards, cell phones, sound systems, shoes, and sunglasses.
The Southern District Detective Unit investigated the cases and determined that the crime sprees were related and committed by the same suspect. Surveillance video recovered during the investigation led detectives to identifying a suspect. Detectives were able to locate where the suspect was staying and during a search of the residence detectives were able to recover a large amount of the missing property.
The suspect has been charged with Burglary, Theft over $1000.00, Theft under $1000.00, Rogue & Vagabond, and Credit Card Fraud.
