Police Ask for the Public’s Help in Finding Suspects Who Robbed Harwood Teen at the Mall

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects who robbed a Harwood teenager in the parking lot of the Westfield Annapolis Mall on Sunday. The incident happened before 8 p.m. when Anne Arundel County Police were called to the Red Garage for a report of a strong arm robbery, according to police spokesman T.J. Smith.

Smith said that the victim, 15, was followed from the mall into the parking garage (the Red Garage is by the movie theater). The three suspects, all male (two black and one white, threatened the victim with physical harm if he did not relinquish his Air Jordan tennis shoes, Smith said.

The victim, who was otherwise unharmed, handed over the shoes. The suspects fled down the outside stairs toward Sears.

The victim contacted mall security who phoned police. Police released the following surveillance video:

Police searched the area, but could not find the suspects. They are described as:

  • Suspect 1: Unknown black male, 17-18-years old, wearing a white t-shirt.
  • Suspect 2: Unknown black male, 17-18-years old, wearing a black t-shirt.
  • Suspect 3: Unknown white male, 17-18-years old, wearing blue t-shirt and fisherman style hat.
