South River Federation Hosts ‘Swimmable Action Day’ at Mayo Beach on Sunday
The South River Federation is hosting their second Swimmable Action Day at Mayo Beach Park on Sunday (Aug. 17) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy a celebration of swimmable waters in the Chesapeake Bay. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboards are welcome to join the fun and can be rented by the hour through Annapolis Community Boating.
Please note, if you are bringing your own kayak or paddle board, please return to the beach by 2:30 p.m. because SRF needs to clear the property by 3 p.m.
This is a great opportunity to explore and relax on a beach that is not normally open for public access. The day is at your own pace, so please bring your own picnic lunch.
